Recently we also learned about Modems, I found this to be separated from most of the things that we were talking about so I'm putting it in it's own entry.
Modem (Modulator- demodulator)
A modem is what connects you to the internet. In the past most modems were connected to a phone line and dial-up internet was the most common and convenient way to use internet. Nowadays, things have improved and we have high-speed internet, and many other options to choose from. A modem connects to your computer and in turn connects your computer to the internet.
